Bonet was taken into custody and charged with first-degree vehicular manslaughter.

At 2:15 p.m., the couple was going on West Harstdale Avenue when 43-year-old Michelle Bonet crashed her Chrysler Town and Country in the Lexus in which the couple was travelling.

All 3 sustained injuries in the accident for which they were rushed to Westchester Medical Center. The couple died a short time of each other at the hospital.

All three people were treated by EMS at the scene and transported to Westchester Medical Center with serious injuries. Henrietta and Carmelo Sbezzi died in the hospital within a short time of each other.

Alcohol is the reason of the accident, according to the police, but the BAC level of Bonet was not made public because the case is under investigation. The Westchester district attorney’s office is being assisted by Greenburgh detectives to work on the case.
