Friends Mourn Tragic Death Of 20-Year-Old Graduate Of Ossining High School

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – This week, the tragic death of 20-year-old Bastian Pasten gathered almost 250 friends, including classmates at the Arcadian Shopping Center off Route 9 on Wednesday night.

The graduate of Ossining High School sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident that happened on Route 117 in Mount Pleasant on Tuesday. Mount Pleasant police and the Westchester County Police Accident Investigation Unit are investigating the collision which happened between a Jeep and a motorcycle that Pasten was riding.

The collision occurred at about 11 a.m. when Pasten was travelling east and his motorcycle collided with a westbound Jeep that was taking a left turn into the Rockefeller State Park.

Pasten was described as a great boy liked by his friends and he is also a great wrestler.

A GoFundMe account has been created for him, where the people who knew him are expressing their views about the boy and memories related to him.

According to the police, no tickets have been issued and the name of the person behind the wheel of the Jeep has not been made public.

The accident which shut down Route 117 in both directions between Route 9 and Route 448 is under investigation. After 5 hours, Route 117 was opened again after clearing the accident site.

Memorial arrangements have not yet been announced.
